Larry Nelson is Wetland Creation’s Project Manager and Coordinator. Larry has 16 years experience as the Project Coordinator and Resource Manager for a USDA-Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) RC&D office in a seven-county area in east central Minnesota. Counties include Aitkin, Carlton, Chisago, Kanabec, Mille Lacs and Pine Counties. RC&D is a non-profit tax-exempt corporation dedicated to rural economic development.
Larry has 32 years of extensive and progressively responsible administrative and technical experience with the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service and RC&D Councils, where he assisted Soil and Water Conservation Districts to develop, plan and apply soil and water conservation, agronomic and engineering projects.

Throughout Larry’s career he has assisted and facilitated numerous citizen organizations to plan, develop and implement their projects, leading to measurable outcomes. Larry is especially proud of his many projects focusing on natural resource and economic development and meeting the needs of the project owners.

Larry has proven experience and success with numerous natural resource and community development projects. He will work with you to get the job done right.
